Early retirement or get fired. Those are Janella’s two choices, given to her from the prominent law firm where she works as their chief investigator. The choice is obvious.

Her retirement is short-lived when, just off her favorite jogging trail, she discovers the severed feet of a former colleague and friend. Janella’s natural instinct to investigate plunges her into a world of hidden agendas, high-level blackmail, and national security concerns.
